Job Summary:

The Heavy Equipment Field Service Technician will perform repair work on a wide variety of crushing and screening equipment, including complete machine overhauls and minor repairs. Responsibilities include troubleshooting equipment problems, performing diagnostic functions, and making repairs. The ideal candidate will have a strong mechanical aptitude, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Troubleshoot equipment problems and diagnose failures
  • Perform diagnostic functions, check pressures, and locate sources of noise or vibration
  • Disassemble machines, order parts, make repairs, and assemble machines
  • Clean parts, scrape gaskets, and prep for assembly
  • Responsible for a company vehicle and will travel daily
  • Maintain safety and cleanliness of work environment
  • Travel to job sites and vendor training sessions as needed
  • Overtime as needed
Qualifications:

The ideal candidate will have a High School Diploma or equivalent, a 2-year technical degree or comparable, and a minimum of 3 years of experience with crushing and screening equipment. Must have a valid driver's license and good driving record. Excellent written and oral communication skills are required, as well as basic mathematical skills. Proficient with a computer, including Microsoft programs and diagnostic use. Ability to stoop, kneel, push, pull, twist, and carry up to 70lbs. Ability to climb and perform work on heights up to 70 feet and higher. Able to work in all types of weather conditions. Capable of working with limited supervision and maintaining excellent customer service.
