Key Responsibilities of the Facilities Maintenance Specialist:

  • Conduct regular preventative maintenance tasks as instructed by the supervisor.
  • Perform floor care duties including stripping, waxing, and buffing on a scheduled basis or as needed.
  • Assist with the relocation of furniture and equipment, and support residents with their moving requirements as assigned.
  • Participate in grounds maintenance activities as needed, including seasonal tasks such as weeding and snow removal.
  • Work collaboratively with residents, colleagues, healthcare professionals, families, and other service providers.

Qualifications Required:

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Three to five years of experience in painting and wall covering within a residential context.
  • Experience in electrical and plumbing tasks.
  • Proficiency in English to effectively read, write, and communicate basic instructions and correspondence.
  • Ability to apply common sense in following detailed written or verbal instructions.
  • Availability for emergency situations and on-call responsibilities.
