Position Overview

We are currently in search of a FULL-TIME COOK I. Availability during weekends is essential for this role.

This position is designed for individuals eager to develop and refine their culinary skills and techniques. The focus will be on mastering the production processes at specific food stations while adhering to daily operational standards. Flexibility for breakfast and dinner shifts is required.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Adhere to all Food & Beverage Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) along with local health regulations and federal guidelines.
  • Inspect all incoming food products for quality and compliance with specifications.
  • Properly store all raw and prepared food items following mandated procedures.
  • Maintain accurate records for food preparation in accordance with Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point (HACCP) standards.
  • Monitor food and labor costs, manage schedules, and work towards minimizing overtime.
  • Assist in supervising the stewarding department and mentor staff for potential advancement.
  • Ensure freshness of ingredients and compliance with recipes and portion control.
  • Be aware of guest feedback and strive for improvements in service quality.
  • Promote a collaborative and respectful work environment among team members.

Qualifications of the Ideal Candidate:

  • Demonstrated creativity in culinary practices.
  • Proven history of excellence in food preparation.
  • Basic proficiency in computer applications such as Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  • Familiarity with all cooking and preparation equipment.
  • Strong knife skills and foundational cooking techniques, including sautéing, broiling, frying, roasting, butchery, garde manger, pantry work, and breakfast cookery.
  • Culinary education or apprenticeship is preferred but not mandatory.
