Job Summary:
The primary responsibility of this role is to prepare the surgical environment for procedures, ensuring that all surgical instruments and equipment are functioning correctly. You will assist the surgical team by providing essential support, ensuring patient comfort, and delivering high-quality care. Additionally, you will be responsible for maintaining sterilization standards in accordance with infection control regulations.
Qualifications:
Successful candidates will have graduated from an accredited surgical technology program.

- Familiarity with surgical techniques and equipment.
- Understanding of infection control and sterilization standards.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain an inventory of sterilized surgical instruments and supplies, adhering to regulatory standards.
- Provide essential surgical support, including room setup, sterile field management, and instrument handling.
- Assess the needs for surgical procedures and ensure the availability of necessary equipment and supplies.
- Ensure the proper functioning of surgical instruments and equipment throughout procedures.
Adhere to infection control policies and guidelines to maintain a safe working environment for yourself, colleagues, and patients.
Physical and Environmental Demands:
This position may involve occasional exposure to challenging physical environments, including high noise levels and potential exposure to hazardous materials. The role may require frequent physical activity, including lifting, standing, and walking.
