Job Title: Registered Nurse First Assistant, Operating Room

Sutter Health is seeking a skilled Registered Nurse First Assistant to join our team in the Operating Room. As a key member of the perioperative team, you will assist the surgeon in the surgical treatment of patients, providing direct patient care and ensuring the highest level of patient safety and satisfaction.

Responsibilities:
  • Assist the surgeon in the surgical treatment of patients, providing direct patient care and ensuring the highest level of patient safety and satisfaction.
  • Function as a first assistant, based on documented knowledge and skills acquired after specialized preparation, formal instruction, and supervised practice.
  • Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure seamless patient care and efficient surgical procedures.
  • Participate in ongoing education and training to maintain and enhance clinical skills and knowledge.
Requirements:
  • Graduation from an accredited School of Nursing.
  • Three years of experience as an RN in the Operating Room, encompassing both the circulator and scrub roles.
  • Certified Operating Room RN (CNOR) certification.
  • BLS and ACLS certification.
