About the Role:

The Behavioral Specialist will work closely with children and adults with special needs to facilitate educational and behavioral services. This role requires collaboration with school professionals and other behavioral specialists to achieve learning and behavioral goals and objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Implement behavior management techniques in the form of prevention, intervention, and consequence strategies.
  • Provide crisis intervention and review behavior intervention plans.
  • Assist in facilitating academic instruction and development plans for students.
  • Document session data accurately and efficiently.
  • Collect behavioral and academic data and adhere to confidentiality requirements.

Requirements:

  • High School diploma or equivalent required.
  • Two years of pediatric experience preferred.
  • Current CPR and TB questionnaire, PPD, or chest x-ray if applicable.
  • Ability to effectively communicate with supervisors, coworkers, and clients.
