Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated individual to join our team as a Behavior Intervention Specialist. In this role, you will work one-on-one with children with autism, implementing individualized behavior intervention plans under the guidance of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA).

Your primary responsibility will be to teach communication, social, and daily living skills while reducing interfering behaviors. You will use evidence-based techniques to make a meaningful impact on the life of a child and their family.

To be successful in this role, you must be patient, compassionate, and able to work well in a team environment. We will provide comprehensive training to equip you with the skills and knowledge necessary to excel in this position.

As a Behavior Intervention Specialist, you will have the opportunity to work with children who require support with daily living skills, social interactions, and communication. You will be responsible for creating a safe and supportive environment that promotes learning and growth.

Requirements:

  • Patient and compassionate individual with a passion for helping children with autism.
  • Ability to work well in a team environment and communicate effectively with colleagues and families.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; degree in a related field preferred.
  • Ability to obtain a CPR, First Aid Certification, and Tuberculosis test (if not already current).
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment background check.
  • Ability to move in various positions (sit, stand, bend, etc.) and lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Candidates must obtain a Registered Behavior Technician Certification after completing onboarding.
