Job Description

Teledyne Technologies Incorporated is a leading provider of enabling technologies for industrial growth markets. We are seeking a highly skilled Process Development Engineer to join our team in the Thin-Film Hybrid Assembly department.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement optimal manufacturing processes and methods for thin-film hybrid assembly.
  • Support MIC Assembly processes, including eutectic attach, epoxy attach, bond pull, gap welding, seal, and paint.
  • Troubleshoot new assembly processes and analyze data to improve efficiency and quality.
  • Participate in process development and related research to stay up-to-date with the latest technologies and techniques.
  • Generate Engineering Change Orders (ECOs) to correct and improve assembly documentation.
  • Assist in new product development with a focus on auto wire-bonding and auto die attach.
  • Lead the transfer of processes, process improvements, and products from New Product Introduction (NPI) to production.
  • Design and recommend tooling, packaging, and process requirements for new or existing product lines using CAD software.
  • Trend and analyze production data to identify areas for improvement.
  • Facilitate engineering changes and manage their full implementation internally.
  • Create and provide all necessary drawings and assembly instructions.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a relevant field, such as manufacturing engineering or electronics engineering.
  • Minimum of one year of experience as a Manufacturing or Process Engineer in electronics manufacturing, including assembly and test.
  • Preferred background in electronics assembly (wire bonding, die/component attach) and processes.
  • Preferred knowledge and experience with process tooling design and application.
  • Understanding of analyzing manufacturing/support processes and driving continuous improvement.
  • Demonstrated ability to proactively identify opportunities to improve performance, develop targets and action plans, and lead an organization to achieve results.
  • Excellent communication (verbal and written) and presentation skills.
  • Ability to organize and meet project goals and deadlines.
  • Proficient in the use of standard Microsoft Office products in producing data-driven reports.
  • Knowledge of SolidWorks (or equivalent modeling/simulation software).
  • US Citizenship with the ability to attain/maintain Security Clearance.
