Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Environmental Technician - Waste Management Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient collection, sorting, and transportation of waste and recyclables throughout our facilities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collect and sort waste and recyclables from various locations throughout the facility, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • Operate equipment safely and efficiently, including forklifts, tuggers, and transport carts.
  • Perform preventive maintenance and safety checks on mobile equipment, reporting any defects or issues promptly.
  • Document and report any contamination or issues with recycling containers, and provide recommendations for improvement.
  • Work effectively in a team environment, providing support and assistance to colleagues as needed.
  • Participate in meetings and training sessions to stay up-to-date on safe work practices, policies, and regulations.
Requirements:
  • High School diploma or equivalent required.
  • Experience operating a forklift or similar equipment is desired.
  • Ability to read and understand instructions in English.
  • Valid driver's license required.
  • Successful completion of a drug screen and pre-employment physical, as well as a safety-sensitive background check.
Work Environment:

This role requires the ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with varying temperatures, noise levels, and physical demands. You must be able to lift, carry, push, or pull equipment and materials of various sizes and weights, and be able to stand, walk, bend, and stoop for extended periods.
