Key responsibilities include preparing the kitchen and workstations before service, maintaining cleanliness and organization, and engaging with guests to enhance their experience.

Daily Responsibilities:

  • Greet and acknowledge all guests following company standards.
  • Proactively address guests' needs, assist those with disabilities, and express genuine gratitude to guests.
  • Prepare ingredients for cooking, including portioning, chopping, and proper food storage.
  • Cook high-quality dishes within budget for the Bistro and catered events.
  • Assist with inventory management, including ordering and receiving supplies as directed.
  • Set up, stock, and maintain work areas to ensure efficiency.
  • Handle physical tasks, including moving and lifting items up to 25 lbs.
  • Adhere to all company safety and security policies.
  • Check expiration dates on food items to guarantee freshness.
  • Report any incidents, injuries, or unsafe conditions promptly.
  • Maintain confidentiality regarding proprietary information to safeguard company assets.
  • Perform any other reasonable duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  • Possession of a valid Food Handler's Card or ability to obtain one.
  • Legal eligibility to serve alcohol (18 years old) and/or prepare alcoholic beverages (21 years old).
  • Flexibility to work varied shifts, including weekends, holidays, and special events.
  • Capability to prepare and cook food according to established recipes and quality standards.
  • Proficiency in operating various kitchen equipment.
  • Ability to accommodate dietary restrictions and special requests.
  • Strong command of the English language for effective communication.
  • Physical stamina to stand, sit, or walk for extended periods.
  • Knowledge of beverages, including beer, wine, liquor, and common drink recipes.
  • Understanding of alcohol regulations.
  • Familiarity with dining service procedures and kitchen operations.
  • Previous experience in a hotel setting is highly desirable.
