Embassy Suites by Hilton Knoxville Downtown is seeking a skilled and experienced Hotel Cook to join our culinary team. This individual will be responsible for preparing and cooking high-quality meals for our guests, while ensuring efficient food service in our hotel restaurant.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare and cook a variety of dishes using fresh ingredients and adhering to hotel standards.
- Ensure all food items are prepared and presented according to guest preferences and hotel standards.
- Follow proper food handling and safety procedures, including maintaining sanitary and clean work areas.
- Assist in ordering and stocking food inventory to ensure smooth kitchen operation.
- Work effectively in a team setting, communicating with other kitchen staff members to ensure timely meal preparation and delivery.
- Adapt to changing customer demands and special requests while maintaining high levels of quality and customer satisfaction.
- At least 2 years of experience as a cook in a hotel or restaurant setting.
- Knowledge of different cooking techniques, flavors, and textures.
- Understanding of food safety and sanitation principles.
- Ability to multitask and work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including weekends and holidays.
This is a full-time, hourly position with a competitive hourly rate of $15 per hour. In addition to an attractive hourly rate, this position offers bi-weekly pay and opportunities for career growth and development within our company.
