The CIP Regulatory Compliance Specialist will review and assist in the coordination of operational and technical regulatory compliance processes for the Company. This includes evaluating compliance initiatives, reviewing and monitoring compliance with existing regulations, and preparing compliance-related documentation. The specialist will also monitor changes in requirements and provide necessary assistance and training on regulatory compliance issues.

This role serves as a resource for Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) throughout the Company, working collaboratively with them on compliance-related issues. The specialist will maintain awareness of emerging utility industry compliance issues through benchmarking and participation in appropriate forums/groups.

Responsibilities:

  • Monitor and confirm compliance with operational and technical requirements of the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC), NERC, PJM Interconnection (PJM), and ReliabilityFirst (RF).
  • Collaborate with technical SMEs in the Operations Center, Planning, Protection, Asset Management, Field Operations, and Engineering.
  • Verify compliance with FERC, NERC, RF, and PJM policies and standards, identifying opportunities for improvement in procedures and practices.

The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor's Degree in a relevant discipline and have seven or more years of experience working in a compliance or audit role. Technical knowledge and experience with NERC Operations & Planning standards are required.
