Job Title: Wind Farm Technician Associate

RWE Clean Energy is seeking a highly skilled Wind Farm Technician Associate to join our team. As a key member of our operations and maintenance team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our wind farms.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assure that all operation and maintenance activities are performed in a safe manner consistent with policies and procedures established for the wind farm site
  • Assist in conducting acceptance and performance tests on systems and equipment following planned maintenance or outages
  • Perform safety and other wind farm related tasks when assigned and fill in as back up to personnel at other RWE sites when necessary
  • Assist with turbine maintenance including services, major component work and replacement, and troubleshooting
  • Assist with Balance of Plant procedures as needed, including substation and collection system maintenance
Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required, associate degree in Sciences or related field from an accredited school preferred
  • Minimum 2 years of work experience in operations and/or maintenance in power generation, transmission and distribution required, with at least 1 year of experience in wind turbines preferred
  • A degree from an accredited institution (excluding correspondence or online programs) can substitute for 2 years of experience if it meets the following criteria: 2-year or 4-year degree, a field of study in technical sciences, such as Engineering, Physics, Power Systems, or closely related disciplines
  • The following credentials can substitute for 1 year of experience: Current Journeyman License, Current Master Electrician License, Wind Technician Certification
