We are seeking a highly qualified and experienced Assistant Professor of Social Work to join our faculty team at InsideHigherEd. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching undergraduate and graduate social work courses, conducting research, and engaging in service activities that promote the mission of the university.
Key Responsibilities- Teach social work courses, including face-to-face and online classes, to undergraduate and graduate students.
- Develop and implement curriculum that aligns with the university's social work program.
- Conduct research and publish scholarly articles in reputable journals.
- Engage in service activities, such as advising students, serving on departmental committees, and participating in community outreach.
- Maintain a safe and inclusive learning environment that promotes student success.
- Master of Social Work (MSW) or Doctor of Social Work (DSW) or Doctor of Philosophy in Social Work from an accredited institution of higher education.
- Five (5) years full-time post-graduate social work experience.
- Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) or Certified Social Worker (CSW) or equivalent in experience.
- Demonstrated excellence in teaching undergraduate or graduate social work courses.
- Experience with a variety of instructional methods and pedagogical techniques suitable for diverse learning environments.
- Dedication to diversity, equity, and inclusion in teaching, research, and service.
- Ph.D. in Social Work or related field.
- Experience with online course development and delivery.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively in a collaborative academic environment.
- Ability to prepare and deliver engaging presentations and lectures.
