Financial Planning Specialist

At Rolls-Royce, we are seeking a highly skilled Financial Planning Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our finance department, you will play a vital role in guiding our team through key financial reporting and decision-making, supporting our B-52 and FLRAA Programs.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Financial Reporting: Own the monthly financial reporting process for B-52 & FLRAA Programs, including posting journals and completing actual and forecast schedules with supporting commentary and variance analysis.
  • Strategic Planning: Lead and support in developing and maintaining the Strategic Plan, Five Year Plan, in year forecast, and AP'ly opportunities, threats, and levers.
  • Balance Sheet Review: Perform monthly Balance Sheet reviews, validating and explaining key Balance Sheet movements and closing out key control items as required.
  • Accounting Policies: Ensure adherence to accounting policies, internal controls, company policies, local operating procedures, and contract requirements.
  • Long-Term Contract Reviews: Support the development and maintenance of long-term project and contract profit plans, including Long-Term Contract Reviews (LTCRs).
  • Ad Hoc Support: Provide ad hoc support such as, but not limited to, contract billings and payments and misc. financial analysis as required for the Defence US Early Lifecycle & Naval Team.
Requirements:
  • Education: Associate's Degree with at least 4+ years of Accounting or Financial analysis experience, or Bachelor's degree with at least 2+ years of Accounting or Financial analysis experience, or Master's degree; OR JD/PhD.
  • Citizenship: In order to be considered for this position, you must be a U.S. Citizen.
Preferred Requirements:
  • Financial Reporting: Familiarity with financial reporting, solid understanding of basic accounting principles, as well as strong communication and organizational skills.
