About the Role

Sparrow Inc is seeking a highly skilled Financial Operations Lead to join our team. As a key member of our finance department, you will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of our financial processes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Financial Reporting: Prepare and review all significant financial information and reports, including month-end close, variance analysis, commentary, dashboards, and presentations.
  • Lease Management: Manage land and building leases to ensure accurate and timely payments, compliance with signed agreements, and updates to payment amounts as per contract.
  • System Integration: Partner with internal stakeholders to gather requirements and understand what needs to be supported by information systems and technology.
  • GLs/CC/PC Structure: Support the management of General Ledgers, Chart of Accounts, and Product Codes in SAP and LM.
  • Project Management: Manage and direct the process of integrating systems to allow for data extraction and automation.
  • Communication: Develop clear communication plans about system needs, implementations, and changes.
  • Monthly Billing/Order Reconciliation: Manage and reconcile over 65,000 orders.
  • Rate Management: Manage new lanes, yearly increases, and current lanes.
  • Discrepancy Resolution: Research and resolve over lane discrepancies, including freight rates, fuel surcharge, and accessorial charges.
  • CAPEX Management: Manage the CAPEX process, including monitoring monthly spending, submitting IM Order requests, and reviewing completion notices.
  • Forecasting and Budgeting: Prepare the monthly forecast and annual budget process, as well as any necessary follow-up.
  • Compliance: Ensure compliance with internal controls, PACS, SOX, and external audit requirements.
Requirements
  • Education: College degree in Accounting or Finance.
  • Experience: 5+ years of financial management experience, with industry experience preferred.
  • Skills: Advanced skills in Microsoft Office Excel, including Macro and Pivot Table, PowerPoint, Word, and other relevant software.
  • Abilities: Strong interpersonal skills, attention to detail, and ability to work independently and with minimal supervision.
