About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Nuclear Medicine Technologist to join our team at AdventHealth Altamonte Springs. As a Nuclear Medicine Technologist, you will be responsible for performing Radiographic Imaging procedures independently, handling, preparing, and administering radionuclides and interventional medications under the direction of a radiologist or cardiologist.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform Radiographic Imaging procedures independently, ensuring patient safety and comfort.
  • Handle, prepare, and administer radionuclides and interventional medications under the direction of a radiologist or cardiologist.
  • Maintain accurate records in accordance with departmental and state requirements.
  • Assist the radiation safety officer as needed.
  • Transport patients to imaging rooms and position them appropriately to obtain quality diagnostic images.
  • Deliver images to radiologists for interpretation via PACS system.
  • Perform clerical duties and assist in the radiology department as needed.
  • Provide basic patient care within the scope of practice and departmental standards.
Requirements
  • Current valid State of Florida license as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist.
  • Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist - CMNT or ARRT-N (American Registration of Radiologic Technologists).
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • Associate's degree or higher in a health science-related field (preferred).
