Child Neurologist with Expertise in Movement Disorders

Children's Mercy Kansas City is seeking a board-eligible/certified child movement disorders neurologist to join our growing team of 21 faculty in the Department of Pediatrics, Division of Neurology.
About Our DivisionOur division is committed to clinical excellence, education, and research, and is continuing to grow. Faculty members are affiliated with and have academic rank at the University of Missouri-Kansas City.
Our Program Highlights- Deep Brain Stimulator Program: We have a robust program with an average of 3-4 implants per year, and approximately 30 patients actively being programmed.
- Comprehensive Movement Disorders and Spasticity Clinic: Our clinic includes Child Neurology, Pediatric Rehabilitation, Pediatric Orthopedics, and Pediatric Neurosurgery.
- Baclofen Pump Program: We have a large program managed by Pediatric Rehabilitation.
- Dorsal Root Rhizotomy Program: We have an established program.
- Botulinum Toxin Injection Program: We have an established program managed by Pediatric Rehabilitation.
- Tourette Center of Excellence: We have the largest center in the United States, including Child and Adolescent Psychiatry, Neuropsychology, Occupational Therapy, and a full-time Family Therapist.
- Research: We are actively involved in research in Cerebral Palsy, Dystonia, Genomics, Clinical Pharmacology, and Neuroimaging.
- Subspecialty Multidisciplinary Programs: We have numerous programs, including neonatal neurology, pediatric stroke, neuro-immunology, mitochondrial disorders, Angelman Syndrome, Dravet Syndrome, TS/NF, and epilepsy.
- Research Collaborations: We have collaborations with our Genomic Medicine Center and the Division of Clinical Pharmacology, Toxicology, and Therapeutic Innovation.
- Resident and Fellowship Programs: We have robust pediatric resident and fellowship programs, including a child neurology residency, clinical neurophysiology fellowship, and headache fellowship.
