Key Responsibilities
  • Lead a team of Fixed Equipment Reliability Engineers, overseeing repair procedures and ensuring compliance with industry codes and company standards.
  • Review and approve repair procedures for Broke and Fix and TAR events, guaranteeing that all repairs meet industry codes and company requirements.
  • Collaborate with FERE and SMEs to develop major maintenance shutdown and turnaround engineering scope, plans, and schedules.
  • Mentor FERE and SMEs in engineering tools and software, such as FFS, Compress, CEASAR II, and IDMS.
  • Ensure Process Safety information is up-to-date and provide guidance on fixed equipment mechanical integrity to all departments.
  • Support timely completion of safety-related programs, including Intelex, MOCs, PMOCs, toolbox meetings, and yearly goals.
  • Provide career development and performance input to the FERE staff.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering (obtained prior to start date).
  • At least 5 years of fixed equipment mechanical engineering experience in a refinery, petro-chemical, or related heavy industry.
  • Familiarity with API 510 and API 570.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft: Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Ability to wear PPE, physically perform tasks in the field, and pass a hair drug test and physical.
  • Valid driver's license and ability to obtain a TWIC Card.
  • Legally authorized to work in the US without future VISA sponsorship.
  • Travel requirement: less than 5%.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
  • Prior leadership experience.
  • Experience with Risk-Based Inspection and turnaround engineering.
  • Experience with IDMS - Inspection Data Management Systems.

Relocation may be available. This position belongs to a family of jobs with increasing responsibility, competency, and skill level. Actual position title and pay grade will be based on the selected candidate's experience and qualifications.
