Job Overview

REEDS Jewelers is seeking a highly skilled Accounting Manager to join our team. As a key member of our finance department, you will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of our financial statements and reports.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage the maintenance of the General Ledger, including reviewing and preparing journal entries and account reconciliations.
  • Oversee the monthly and annual close process, ensuring the preparation and review of financial statements and other reports.
  • Provide work direction and management oversight to the accounting team, including interviewing, hiring, and training employees.
  • Assist in the preparation and coordination of the annual financial audit and periodic bank compliance workpapers.
  • Recommend and develop policies, procedures, and systems to meet company objectives.
  • Stay abreast of trends and regulations to ensure effectiveness and compliance for the finance functions.
  • Analyze, interpret, and communicate financial operating results to provide information and guidance to management.
Requirements
  • Four-year Accounting Degree and/or MBA
  • Solid technical knowledge of accounting concepts
  • CPA license strongly preferred
  • Workday experience preferred
  • Strong computer skills, including advanced proficiency in Excel
  • Exceptional supervisory, organizational, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to collaborate cross-functionally with other departments
