Job Summary

The Luggage Handling System Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing all aspects of airport operations, ensuring efficient and safe airport functioning.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage a team of operations staff, coordinating with airlines and airport authorities to implement operational procedures and policies.
  • Develop and execute effective maintenance strategies and plans to meet business needs.
  • Ensure maintenance team members meet performance KPIs and provide measurable performance expectations.
  • Regularly evaluate the development opportunities of the team and provide a plan for success.
  • Human capital & resourcing strategy to build the talent pipeline for skilled maintenance craft.
Requirements
  • 18 years of age or older.
  • Eligible to work in the United States.
  • Minimum of 5 plus years of general maintenance/mechanical experience, including electrical, control systems, etc.
  • A minimum of 5 years of demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to motivate a team.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Ability to read, write, speak, and understand the English language, to include documents.
  • Ability to access and interpret information in print and electronically, including the use of adaptive technologies or methods as necessary.
  • Bachelor's degree is not required but preferred.
  • Effectively communicate both in-person and through electronic means.
  • Pass a background check and drug screen.
  • Eligibility to acquire needed credentials and clearances (FAA, TSA, Port Authority, U.S. Customs and U.S. Postal- as applicable).
  • Ability to work any day/shift, including holidays, within a 24/7 operation.
Working Conditions
  • Ability to lift up to 70 pounds.
  • Prolonged standing and walking in an indoor/outdoor environment as applicable.
  • Must be able to reach with arms and grasp with hands.
  • Must be able to push, pull.
  • Must be able to crawl and crouch, at times, in confined tight spaces.
  • Must be able to bend, stretch, squat, kneel.
  • Exposure to moderate and at times high noise levels.
  • Be able to hear and respond to the spoken voice and to audible alarms.
  • Tasks may involve repetitive motions of the arms, wrists, hands and/or fingers.
Compensation

The pay rate listed on this post is what the company reasonably expects to pay for this position. However, individual compensation may vary based on factors including qualifications, skills, competencies, education, and experience.
