Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, design, and supervise the construction and maintenance of building structures and infrastructure, including roads, parking lots, and sidewalks within healthcare facilities.
  • Conduct on-site investigations and analyze data (maps, reports, tests, drawings, and other).
  • Carry out technical and feasibility studies and create blueprints that meet technical specifications.
  • Evaluate potential risks, materials, and costs.
  • Provide guidance and creatively resolve any emerging issues or deficiencies.
  • Oversee and mentor staff while liaising with various stakeholders.
  • Monitor progress and compile reports on project status.
  • Ensure compliance with guidelines and regulations, including permits and safety, and deliver technical files and documentation as required.
  • Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams of professionals to achieve project goals.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or a related field from an accredited institution.
  • A minimum of 2 years of civil engineering experience, preferably within the healthcare or medical industry.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license is preferred.
  • Proficient in design and visualization software such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D, or similar.
  • Project management and supervisory skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Analytical mindset with excellent problem-solving abilities.
  • Demonstrated understanding of construction procedures, materials, and project management principles.
  • Familiarity with rules, regulations, best practices, and performance standards in the medical industry.
  • Ability to work on multiple discipline projects while demonstrating a passion for excellence and innovation.
  • Strong decision-making skills and the ability to prioritize and plan effectively.
  • Excellent mathematical, IT, and analytical skills.
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills, with a high level of attention to detail.
  • Thorough knowledge of relevant health and safety measures.
