Job Overview

Johnny's Selected Seeds is seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused Seasonal Contact Center Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our customer service team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional service to our customers, resolving issues, and ensuring a positive experience for our customers.

This is a seasonal position based on-site at our Fairfield location, with a minimum of 20 hours per week required. There is an opportunity for the seasonal role to transition to a permanent role. This position starts November 4th, 2024.

Responsibilities
  • Deliver a superior experience to our customers and strive for one-call resolution.
  • Handle inbound calls, providing accurate and timely responses to our customers through multiple channels.
  • Learn and master our varied software systems and understand how each contributes to supporting a positive customer experience.
  • Complete, maintain, and process pertinent documentation and records with high accuracy and attention to detail to ensure data integrity in the order entry and customer management systems.
  • Support customers to resolve problems, including order status questions, and other concerns and issues.
  • Take initiative to obtain and consistently upgrade personal product knowledge by participating in training opportunities.
  • Build positive relationships and work closely with co-workers within all levels of the organization.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Interest or prior experience in agriculture, farming, or home gardening.
  • Intermediate Computer Skills.
  • Ability to work with more than one computer program simultaneously.
  • Solid understanding of Microsoft Office products.
  • Solid attention to detail. Strong verbal and written communication.
  • Adaptability and ability to self-direct, work in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment, and handle multiple priorities.
  • Maintain a friendly but professional attitude.
  • Proven ability to learn difficult information quickly.
  • Strong problem-solving capabilities.
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to read, count, and write to complete all documentation accurately.
  • Ability to work varied hours/days as business dictates.
  • Ability to sit at a computer for at least 75% of the work day.
  • Ability to bend, pull, and lift to 25 pounds.
