Job Title: Patient Access Specialist

Join AdventHealth as a Patient Access Specialist and play a vital role in ensuring patients receive the best possible care. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for registering patients for all services, verifying insurance eligibility, and obtaining pre-authorizations. Your attention to detail and excellent communication skills will make a significant impact on our patients' experience.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Register patients for all services, including emergency room, outpatient, inpatient, observation, and same-day surgery
  • Verify insurance eligibility and obtain pre-authorizations as needed
  • Communicate with patients and families to ensure a smooth registration process
  • Work closely with clinical partners to ensure accurate and timely registration
  • Meet productivity standards and maintain accuracy in patient registration
Requirements:
  • High school degree or equivalent required
  • One year or more of relevant healthcare experience preferred
  • Prior collections experience preferred
  • One or more years of customer service experience preferred
  • Associate's degree preferred
  • Bilingual – English/Spanish preferred
