Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Clinical Nurse II to join our team at UNC Rex Holly Springs Hospital. As a Clinical Nurse II, you will provide competent clinical nursing care to patients in a hospital setting, utilizing the nursing process to coordinate and deliver patient care.

Responsibilities
  • Participate in identifying and meeting learning needs of self and others, attending education programs and using patient education materials to enhance patient care.
  • Evaluate patient care and seek guidance as needed, participating in discussions with the interdisciplinary team to ensure continuity of care.
  • Implement care plans, utilizing healthcare organization and nursing standards, policies, and procedures, and prioritizing care according to patient needs.
  • Lead by example, developing goals to promote professional growth and minimizing limitations, and participating in unit goals and performance improvement activities.
  • Assess and anticipate discharge needs of patients and families, developing relationships that promote their ability to advocate for themselves.
  • Collaborate with patients and families to prepare or update the plan of care, making use of available multidisciplinary resources and identifying and addressing cultural and ethnic issues in planning patient care.
Requirements
  • Graduation from a school of professional nursing.
  • Licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse in the state of North Carolina.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Provider certification.
  • One (1) year of nursing experience.
