Histotechnician - Mohs Histotech Specialist

Quadrant Inc. is seeking a highly skilled Histotechnician - Mohs Histotech to join our team. As a Histotechnician - Mohs Histotech, you will be responsible for processing tissue samples for path review, performing DNA extractions, and applying basic and advanced skills using tools and equipment appropriate for the position or specialization.

• Process tissue samples for path review
• Perform DNA extractions
• Apply basic and advanced skills using tools and equipment appropriate for the position or specialization
• Ensure compliance with all local, federal, CLIA, and CAP regulations
• Adhere to attendance and punctuality guidelines
• Maintain a clean and well-organized work area
• Correctly prepare special stains and solutions
• Routinely check and verify that surgical case numbers match blocks and slides; print labels as appropriate
• Record in laboratory logbooks all slides and stains prepared daily
• Log appropriate information into the surgical pathology computer system
• Follow appropriate laboratory safety protocols
• Unpack orders received; date and stock orders, in accordance with established policies and procedures
• Demonstrate skills in technical data interpretation and ability to troubleshoot
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Word, Excel, Outlook, and general working knowledge of Internet for business use
• Continuously strive to improve clinical testing, confidence, and knowledge through formal and informal education
• Maintain appropriate quality controls
• Ensure the lab is in accordance with all standards set forth by OSHA, CLIA, and other regulatory agencies

• Experienced Mohs - Histotech
• Must demonstrate accuracy and precision in mounting, embedding, cutting, and staining of tissue sections
• Must have medical laboratory training
• Must have experience working with EMR
• Must have strong verbal and written communication skills
