Job Summary:

NYU Langone Health is seeking a Part Time Advanced Practice Registered Nurse to join our team in Brooklyn Cardiology/Primary Care. As a key member of our interdisciplinary team, you will be responsible for providing comprehensive nursing care to patients, coordinating care with other healthcare professionals, and ensuring the highest level of patient satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide Comprehensive Nursing Care: Develop and implement individualized care plans for patients, taking into account their unique needs and preferences.
  • Coordinate Care with Other Healthcare Professionals: Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care transitions and optimal patient outcomes.
  • Ensure Patient Satisfaction: Foster a positive and supportive environment for patients and their families, addressing their concerns and needs in a timely and compassionate manner.
  • Participate in Quality Improvement Initiatives: Contribute to the development and implementation of quality improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing patient care and outcomes.
  • Stay Current with Best Practices: Engage in ongoing education and professional development to stay up-to-date with the latest evidence-based practices and guidelines.

Requirements:

  • Licensure: Current registration as a Professional Nurse in New York and registration as a Nurse Practitioner in New York.
  • Education: Master's Degree in Nursing.
  • Certification: Certification required (as soon as feasible following graduation from NP graduate program) by ANCC or Board Certification from other specialty organization that certifies Nurse Practitioners in a clinical area of practice.
  • Experience: At least five years of clinical nursing practice in the care of the patient population served.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous Experience as a Nurse Practitioner: Previous experience as a nurse practitioner is preferred.
  • Excellent Interpersonal and Communication Skills: Evidence of excellent interpersonal skills, effective communication skills, creative problem-solving, and excellent critical thinking and leadership.
  • Ability to Facilitate Group Processes: Previously demonstrated ability to facilitate group processes and work cohesively and collaboratively as a member of the interdisciplinary team.
