Role Summary:
This role, under the guidance of the Director of Nursing (DON), is responsible for overseeing and coordinating the nursing department's operations to ensure high-quality patient care and operational efficiency. The Clinical Nursing Supervisor conducts daily visits to all nursing units to assess the quality of care provided, offering guidance and support to charge nurses in addressing nursing and managerial challenges. This position requires a commitment to professional accountability and continuous growth.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the DON with various administrative tasks.
- Provide per diem coverage for Charge Nurses.
- Support Charge Nurses during clinic days and on the nursing floor.
Qualifications:
Education and Skills:
- Graduate from an accredited nursing program.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficient in understanding medical records, physician orders, and nursing care plans.
- Ability to effectively communicate with residents, leadership, staff, and other healthcare professionals.
- Familiarity with Catholic Health Care Directives.
Experience:
- A minimum of two years of nursing management experience is preferred.
- Previous experience in human resources and financial management is advantageous.
- Knowledge of medications and treatment methods used in geriatric care.
Licenses and Certifications:
- Current RN license issued by the relevant state board.
- BSN is preferred.
- Certification in gerontological nursing is required within one year of employment.

This is a full-time position.
