Job Title: Clinical Laboratory Supervisor

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Clinical Laboratory Supervisor to join our team at Labcorp in Houston, TX.

Job Summary:

The Clinical Laboratory Supervisor will be responsible for supervising the day-to-day operations of the Department/Lab Name department, ensuring laboratory tests are accurately performed, and results are reported in a timely manner. The successful candidate will have a strong background in clinical laboratory science, excellent leadership skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Supervise laboratory personnel and ensure accurate test results
  • Monitor daily workflow and schedule adequate assay coverage
  • Directly supervise, train, and mentor laboratory personnel
  • Research and resolve production errors
  • Engage in continuous process and service level improvements
  • Ensure all equipment is properly maintained through Quality Control
  • Prepare and maintain Quality Assurance records and documents
  • Meet regularly with direct reports to provide coaching and feedback
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in biology, chemistry, clinical laboratory science, or medical technology
  • Minimum 6 years of experience as a medical technologist in a clinical laboratory
  • Previous supervisor/leadership experience is highly preferred
  • Strong working knowledge of CLIA, CAP, and relevant state regulations
  • Proficient with Laboratory Information Systems and Microsoft Office
