About the Role:

We are seeking a skilled Logistics Operations Specialist to join our team at Tenneco. As a key member of our operations team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth transportation of materials to and from our locations.

Job Summary:

The Logistics Operations Specialist will be responsible for driving a truck to transport materials between our plant location and outside warehouse, as well as operating a powered industrial truck to assist with shipping and receiving within the plant location or moving materials inside the warehouse.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Drive truck to transport materials to and from specified destinations, primarily between the plant location and the outside warehouse.
  • Maintain truck log according to state and federal regulations.
  • Perform pre- and post-trip safety checks and ensure the truck is in safe working order.
  • Inspect truck equipment and supplies, including tires, lights, brakes, gas, oil, and water.
  • Secure cargo during transit by positioning blocks and tying rope around items.
  • Complete annual OSHA training updates as assigned by supervisor.
  • Comply with DOT CDL Class A requirements to maintain valid driver certification.
  • Operate powered industrial truck to assist with shipping and receiving within the plant location or move materials inside the warehouse.

Requirements:

  • Possess a high school diploma or GED.
  • Valid CDL Class A driver's license.
  • Ability to operate a forklift, including medical certification by a Tenneco-provided medical professional.
  • Ability to read and comprehend instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
  • Ability to write simple correspondence.
  • Ability to communicate and interact cooperatively with co-workers, supervisor, and managers.
  • Good computer skills.
  • Good written and oral communications skills.

Estimated Salary Range: $60,000 - $80,000 per year, depending on experience. We offer competitive compensation and benefits packages to attract and retain top talent.
