Job SummaryWe are seeking a Hospitality Apprentice to join our team. As a key member of our hospitality team, you will assist with various tasks related to food and nutrition, environmental services, patient transport, and materials distribution. This is a per diem, day shift position that offers flexibility and opportunities for growth.
Responsibilities- Deliver linens and supplies to patient rooms and common areas.
- Stock isolation carts, PPE, hand sanitizer, soap dispensers, paper towels, and toilet paper.
- Pull and remove trash from patient rooms and common areas.
- Sweep and mop patient rooms, kitchen, and common areas.
- Clean and polish furniture, fixtures, ledges, room heating/cooling units.
- Clean, wash, sanitize, and polish bathroom fixtures.
- Clean windows, mirrors, and equipment.
- Ensure equipment is kept clean and sanitized.
- Operate a cash register, when assigned, according to established procedures.
- Post menu boards and signage in food service areas.
- Prepare and serve food accurately following menu and portion guidelines.
- Stock pantries, check refrigerator logs.
- Adhere to proper food handling methods as required by local, state, and federal regulations.
- Select and deliver materials to departments.
- Maintain appropriate documentation for supply management.
- Remove empty shipping and storage boxes and discard in proper locations.
- Rotate inventory stock for both dated and non-dated supplies to achieve a first-in/first-out system.
- Transport patients by wheelchair, bed, or stretcher, ensuring safe handling and within expected timeframes.
- Perform other duties and/or projects as assigned.
- Ability to learn quickly.
- Good communication skills.
