Job Summary

The Cardiovascular Care Specialist at HMHMG SPECIALTY CARE 570 will perform the role of a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant utilizing the patient-centered coordinated care model. This model is demonstrated through the following competencies: leadership, direct clinical practice, consultation/collaboration, coaching/guiding, research, and ethical decision making.

As a key member of the practice/hospital team, the Cardiovascular Care Specialist will work collaboratively to assess, plan and implement care for individuals with health and safety needs. This includes 24/7 Coverage model for Cardiac Care ICU at JSUMC.

The Cardiovascular Care Specialist will assist, monitor, and manage the day-to-day needs of patients as requested by, in conjunction with, and under the supervision of a physician. This role requires the duties and responsibilities of a Physician Assistant according to customary and generally accepted medical standards.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with other members of the practice/hospital team to assess, plan and implement care for individuals with health and safety needs.
  • Assist, monitor, and manage the day-to-day needs of patients as requested by, in conjunction with, and under the supervision of a physician.
  • Perform the duties and responsibilities of a Physician Assistant according to customary and generally accepted medical standards.

Requirements

Cardiovascular experience is preferred.
