Job Title: Civil, Environmental or Coastal Engineering Project Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Civil, Environmental or Coastal Engineering Project Manager to join our team at Geosyntec Consultants. As a key member of our project management team, you will be responsible for leading and managing complex engineering projects related to waterfront development, coastal engineering, and environmental engineering.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Plan, analyze, permit, design, and inspect waterfront development projects, including marinas, shoreline protection, beaches, dredging, and related projects.
  • Develop and implement cost-effective and constructible technical solutions to engineering challenges.
  • Write feasibility studies, technical reports, and construction specifications.
  • Manage the production of engineering plans and drawings.
  • Perform engineering calculations and critical reviews of technical reports.
  • Inspect and supervise onsite works during construction phases of marinas and waterfront development projects.
  • Manage and control project budgets, programs, resources, and quality of production.
  • Attend and conduct meetings with clients and regulatory authorities.
  • Develop proposals in response to RFPs, including build-up of project budgets, programs, and scopes of work.
  • Interface and communicate with clients and prospective clients.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in coastal/ocean engineering, civil engineering, coastal science, or closely related field (required).
  • Master's degree in engineering, business, or related field (preferred).
  • Engineer in Training (EIT) certification, Professional Engineer (PE) (preferred).
  • At least 5 years of experience (7+ years preferred) in the engineering field; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Outstanding communication skills, with a specific focus on business/technical writing.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team setting.
  • Proficiency with AutoCAD (Civil 3D)/GIS.
  • General knowledge of surveying and surveying principles (preferred).
  • Regular fieldwork and overnight travel (required).
  • Health & Safety training, medical monitoring, and client-driven drug and background testing may be required.
  • Valid U.S. drivers license and a satisfactory driving record for business travel (required).
  • Valid passport (or eligibility obtain) and ability/willingness to travel internationally to support waterfront project work (preferred).
  • Boating experience (preferred).
