Job Description

Lockheed Martin is a leader in cybersecurity and innovation, seeking a highly skilled Information Systems Security Officer (ISSO) to join our team in Orlando, FL.

The successful candidate will support the Information System Security Manager (ISSM) in developing, maintaining, and overseeing the cybersecurity of assigned F-35 systems. This includes ensuring all applicable cybersecurity policy, plans, and procedures are followed, and required cybersecurity controls are implemented and validated.

The ISSO will also be responsible for monitoring and recognizing non-compliance, suspicious, and anomalous activity, and effectively reporting such activity and associated risks to the appropriate parties. Additionally, the candidate will conduct role-based cybersecurity training for assigned users, create, collect, and retain data to meet reporting requirements, and investigate, analyze, and respond to cyber events, incidents, and non-compliance.

The ideal candidate will have a thorough understanding of the US Government system accreditation process under Risk Management Framework (RMF) and experience as an ISSO, ISSM, or related DoD Cyber Workforce Role. Familiarity with modern DevSecOps software tools centered around open-source software is also highly desirable.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure all applicable cybersecurity policy, plans, and procedures are followed.

Desired Skills:

  • Prior experience as an ISSO, ISSM, or related DoD Cyber Workforce Role.
  • Knowledge of one or more F-35 systems.
  • Knowledge of applicable laws, regulations, guidance, and policies as they relate to DoD cybersecurity and SAPs.
  • Familiarity with modern DevSecOps software tools centered around open-source software.
