Position Overview

We are seeking a committed and skilled Sanitation Operations Manager to enhance our dynamic team within the food production sector of the manufacturing industry. This pivotal role is essential for upholding the cleanliness and safety protocols of our production environments. The ideal candidate will possess a robust background in developing and managing chemical sanitation safety initiatives, sanitation expertise, Master Sanitation Schedule (MSS), auditing MSS, and cleaning systems procedures, alongside knowledge of GFSI, HACCP, and SQF standards. A minimum of 2 years of relevant experience is required, with responsibilities including supervising the sanitation team, ensuring compliance with safety and cleanliness standards, and fostering continuous improvement in sanitation practices.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Design, implement, and oversee comprehensive sanitation programs, including chemical sanitation safety initiatives and sanitation expertise.
2. Create, maintain, and audit the Master Sanitation Schedule (MSS) to guarantee all facility areas are cleaned and sanitized according to the established timeline.
3. Supervise cleaning systems procedures, ensuring efficiency, effectiveness, and compliance with industry regulations.
4. Serve as the sanitation subject matter expert (SME), offering guidance and training to the sanitation team and other personnel as necessary.
5. Ensure adherence to Global Food Safety Initiative (GFSI), Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point (HACCP), and Safe Quality Food (SQF) standards throughout the facility.
6. Continuously evaluate sanitation processes and procedures, promoting ongoing improvement and efficiency while maintaining the highest safety and cleanliness standards.
7. Collaborate with other departments to ensure sanitation practices do not disrupt production schedules.
8. Lead and inspire the sanitation team, ensuring they are well-trained, competent, and executing their responsibilities to the highest standards.

Qualifications:

1. At least 2 years of experience in a similar position within the food production or manufacturing sector.
2. Demonstrated experience in developing and managing chemical sanitation safety programs, sanitation expertise, Master Sanitation Schedule (MSS), auditing MSS, and cleaning systems procedures, along with knowledge of GFSI, HACCP, and SQF standards.
3. Strong understanding of sanitation regulations and standards applicable to the food production industry.
4. Excellent leadership and team management capabilities.
5. Strong analytical skills and the ability to drive continuous improvement in sanitation processes.
6. Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to train and motivate a team effectively.
7. Physically capable of meeting the demands of the role, including lifting heavy items and working in a fast-paced environment.
8. A degree in a relevant field is a plus.
