Patient Care Tech Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Patient Care Tech to join our team at Powers Health. As a Patient Care Tech, you will provide basic patient care and support to our patients, working closely with our nursing staff to ensure the highest level of care.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide basic care to patients, including bathing, dressing, and feeding
  • Assist patients with mobility, including lifting, positioning, and transferring
  • Answer call lights, telephones, and respond to patient requests
  • Transport patients to designated areas of the hospital as needed
  • Collect and label specimens for laboratory testing
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and aseptic environment in assigned work areas
Requirements:
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Education equivalent to high school diploma or GED
  • Completion of a certified nurse assistant training course or one year satisfactory work performance as a nurse assistant
  • Current valid State certification is strongly recommended
