Patient Care Technician

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Patient Care Technician to join our team at Fresenius Medical Care North America. As a Patient Care Technician, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and support to our patients undergoing hemodialysis treatment.
Key Responsibilities- Assist patients with hemodialysis treatment, including setting up and operating dialysis machines, and monitoring patients' vital signs.
- Provide emotional support and education to patients and their families, promoting a positive and empowering experience.
- Collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure seamless patient care, including communicating with nurses, doctors, and other healthcare professionals.
- Maintain accurate and detailed records of patient treatment, including vital signs, medication administration, and laboratory results.
- Participate in Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI) activities to enhance patient care and outcomes.
- High School diploma or equivalent required; certification as a Patient Care Technician or related field preferred.
- Previous experience in a healthcare setting, preferably in dialysis or a related field.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
- Ability to lift and move patients, as well as equipment and supplies, up to 30 pounds.
- Flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including days, evenings, and weekends.
