Description

Production Castings, Inc. is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Shipping Clerk/Truck Driver to coordinate shipping and receiving activities, prepare shipments, and deliver and move products in a safe and timely manner. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills, a valid Class E driver's license, and experience in both warehouse operations and truck driving.

Key Responsibilities:

Shipping Clerk Duties:
  • Receive, inspect, and verify incoming shipments against purchase orders.
  • Prepare and package outgoing shipments accurately, ensuring proper labeling and documentation.
  • Maintain accurate records of shipments, deliveries, and inventory levels.
  • Coordinate with carriers to schedule pickups and deliveries.
  • Operate warehouse equipment, such as forklifts and pallet jacks, to load and unload shipments.
  • Perform regular inventory checks and report discrepancies.
  • Maintain a clean and organized shipping and receiving area.

Truck Driver Duties:
  • Safely operate company trucks to transport goods to designated locations.
  • Plan and follow the most efficient routes for timely deliveries.
  • Verify load accuracy, secure cargo, and ensure compliance with weight regulations.
  • Perform routine vehicle inspections and report maintenance needs.
  • Ensure all delivery documents are completed accurately and submitted promptly.
  • Provide excellent customer service during deliveries, including handling any delivery issues or discrepancies.

Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Valid Class E Driver's License with a clean driving record.
  • Proven experience as a shipping clerk, truck driver, or similar role.
  • Knowledge of shipping procedures, transportation regulations, and inventory management.
  • Ability to operate warehouse equipment (e.g., forklifts, pallet jacks).
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to lift and move heavy items as required.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
