POSITION OVERVIEW:

This role oversees all facets of warehouse operations to guarantee a cost-effective, efficient, and safe environment. Responsibilities include verifying received and dispatched goods against relevant documentation and ensuring they are stored and shipped promptly. The Warehouse Supervisor is accountable for inventory management, issuing materials as required (FIFO), and performing regular audits to confirm order accuracy.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure employee safety and compliance with company standards regarding safety, food handling, sanitation, and productivity.
  • Maintain composure in high-pressure situations.
  • Ensure proper stock rotation practices are followed.
  • Maintain the integrity and accuracy of all documentation.
  • Communicate effectively and address internal customer requirements.
  • Deliver supplies and equipment to various departments while utilizing Warehouse Management Systems (WMS).
  • Supervise staff by providing coaching, managing attendance, issuing corrective actions, and delegating tasks.
  • Train and develop team members in accordance with company policies and procedures.
  • Safely operate Material Handling Equipment and ensure proper maintenance.
  • Ensure team members receive Quality & Food Safety training and uphold overall employee safety.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
  • Utilize the internal system (Axapta) effectively to support departmental operations.

Qualifications/Skills and Abilities:

  • High School diploma or GED equivalent required; college degree preferred.
  • At least two years of experience in receiving/storage within a food products environment.
  • A minimum of two years of supervisory experience.
  • Proficient in PC skills, including Microsoft Office and Outlook.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and follow-through abilities.
  • Ability to work a full-time schedule of 50+ hours per week, including nights, weekends, and holidays as necessary.
  • Capability to lift 50 pounds and stand for extended periods.
  • Ability to work in a refrigerated environment.
  • Experience using equipment such as stand-up forklifts, electric jacks, and scissor lifts.
