We are seeking qualified candidates for the role of Intermediate Systems Administrator. This position is ideal for individuals who have a proven history of achieving effective outcomes in similar environments.
The Systems Administrator is responsible for the implementation, troubleshooting, and upkeep of Information Technology (IT) systems. This role involves managing IT system infrastructure and overseeing all processes associated with these systems. Responsibilities include supporting IT systems through daily operations, monitoring, and resolving issues across various client/server/storage/network devices, as well as mobile devices. The role encompasses Tier 1 (Help Desk) and Tier 2 (Escalation) support for problem identification, diagnosis, and resolution. Additionally, the administrator will assist in the escalation and communication of status updates to management and internal stakeholders. The position also requires configuring and managing UNIX and Windows operating systems, installing and loading operating system software, troubleshooting, maintaining system integrity, and configuring network components to enhance reliability and performance.
Essential SkillsThe Level II Systems Administrator should demonstrate the following competencies:
- Support the implementation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of IT systems.
- Oversee daily configuration and operational activities of IT systems.
- Provide Tier I (Help Desk) support for problem identification, diagnosis, and resolution.
- Assist users in accessing and utilizing IT systems effectively.
- Manage day-to-day operations, monitoring, and problem resolution for all client/server/storage/network devices and mobile devices.
- Deliver Tier I (Help Desk) and Tier II (Escalation) support for problem identification, diagnosis, and resolution.
- Facilitate the escalation and communication of status updates to management and internal stakeholders.
- Optimize system operations and resource utilization, performing capacity analysis and planning.
- Support the dispatch system and remain engaged in the resolution of hardware issues.
- Exhibit in-depth experience in troubleshooting IT systems.
- Configure and manage UNIX and Windows operating systems, install and load operating system software, troubleshoot, maintain integrity, and configure network components while implementing enhancements for improved reliability and performance.
- Provide detailed analysis and feedback to management and internal stakeholders for escalated issues.
A minimum of ten (10) years of experience as a Systems Administrator in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity is required. A Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline from an accredited institution is mandatory. Alternatively, five (5) years of additional Systems Administrator experience on projects with similar software processes may substitute for a bachelor's degree.
