Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Accounting Professional to join our team at Performance Foodservice. As a key member of our finance department, you will be responsible for preparing daily and monthly financial reports, analyzing data, and providing value-added insights to management.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and analyze financial reports, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements
  • Identify and explain variances to plan, prior year, and forecast
  • Ensure consistency of data and presentation with other departments
  • Provide value-added reporting and analytics to management
  • Work closely with supervisory roles to ensure accuracy of department financials during monthly, quarterly, and annual close cycles
  • Perform bank reconciliations, rebate processing, account analysis, journal entries, and reconciliations
  • Assist with cross-departmental training and development
  • Support the VP of Finance with forecasts and budgets as needed

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma/GED or Equivalent Experience
  • 1-3 years of accounting experience or work toward accounting degree
