POSITION SUMMARY:

The Clinic Supervisor is instrumental in managing the daily functions and administration of the clinic, guaranteeing the effective provision of healthcare services in compliance with regulatory standards. This role demands robust leadership capabilities, clinical insight, and administrative proficiency to uphold the clinic's commitment to delivering superior care to rural populations.

REQUIREMENTS:

High school diploma or equivalent. A minimum of six months to one year of relevant experience and/or training; or a suitable combination of education and experience. Proficient in reading and interpreting documents such as safety protocols, policy manuals, etc. Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing. Exceptional customer service skills are essential. Competency in utilizing various computer systems is required. Familiarity with telecommunication and personal computing devices is advantageous.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Clinical Leadership:
    • Guide and support clinical personnel, including physicians, nurse practitioners, and medical assistants.
    • Ensure compliance with clinical protocols, guidelines, and best practices to uphold high patient care standards.
    • Oversee patient flow and clinic operations to enhance efficiency and patient satisfaction.
  2. Administrative Oversight:
    • Manage administrative tasks such as scheduling, billing, and medical records oversight.
    • Implement and uphold policies and procedures to ensure adherence to healthcare regulations (e.g., HIPAA, Medicare standards).
    • Collaborate with the billing department to optimize reimbursement and ensure precise coding and billing practices.
  3. Staff Training and Development:
    • Recruit, train, and mentor both clinical and administrative staff.
    • Conduct regular performance assessments and provide constructive feedback to facilitate staff development.
    • Promote a positive workplace culture that fosters teamwork, open communication, and ongoing learning.
  4. Quality Assurance and Patient Safety:
    • Lead initiatives aimed at improving quality and enhancing patient safety.
    • Analyze clinical data to identify improvement opportunities and implement necessary corrective measures.
    • Ensure compliance with infection control protocols and other patient safety standards.
  5. Community Relations and Outreach:
    • Act as a liaison between the clinic and the community, advocating for healthcare services and addressing local health needs.
    • Build and maintain relationships with local stakeholders, including patients, community organizations, and healthcare partners.

Qualifications:

  • Medical Assistant with a minimum of 1 year of experience in a supervisory role or a Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration, Nursing, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Strong knowledge of healthcare regulations, reimbursement systems, and quality improvement methodologies.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational abilities.
  • Demonstrated capacity to lead and inspire a diverse team in a dynamic healthcare setting.
  • Proficiency in electronic health records (EHR) systems and healthcare management software.
