The Colusa Medical Center is dedicated to delivering comprehensive healthcare services, both inpatient and outpatient, to our community. The Rural Health Clinic (RHC) Lead is instrumental in managing the daily functions and administration of the clinic, ensuring the effective provision of healthcare services while adhering to regulatory standards.
ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES:
The RHC Lead is responsible for:
- Clinical Leadership:
Guiding and supporting clinical personnel, including physicians, nurse practitioners, and medical assistants. Ensuring compliance with clinical protocols and best practices to uphold superior patient care standards. Monitoring patient flow and clinic operations to enhance efficiency and satisfaction. - Administrative Oversight:
Managing administrative tasks such as scheduling, billing, and medical records. Implementing policies to ensure adherence to healthcare regulations, including HIPAA and Medicare guidelines. Collaborating with billing teams to optimize reimbursement processes. - Staff Development:
Recruiting, training, and mentoring both clinical and administrative staff. Conducting performance evaluations and providing constructive feedback to promote professional growth. Creating a supportive work environment that fosters teamwork and open communication. - Quality Assurance:
Leading initiatives aimed at improving clinical outcomes and patient safety. Analyzing clinical data to identify improvement opportunities and implementing necessary corrective measures. Ensuring compliance with infection control and patient safety standards. - Community Relations:
Acting as a liaison between the clinic and the community, advocating for healthcare services and addressing local health needs. Building and maintaining relationships with community stakeholders, including patients and healthcare partners.
QUALIFICATIONS:
To be considered for this role, candidates should possess:
- A Medical Assistant certification with a minimum of one year in a leadership role or a Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration, Nursing, Business Administration, or a related field.
- A solid understanding of healthcare regulations, reimbursement frameworks, and quality improvement methodologies.
- Exceptional interpersonal, communication, and organizational abilities.
- A proven track record of leading and inspiring a diverse team in a fast-paced healthcare setting.
- Proficiency in electronic health records (EHR) systems and healthcare management software.
