POSITION OVERVIEW:

The Rural Health Clinic (RHC) Supervisor is instrumental in managing the daily functions and administration of the clinic, guaranteeing the effective provision of healthcare services while adhering to regulatory standards.

This role demands robust leadership capabilities, clinical insight, and administrative proficiency to uphold the clinic's commitment to delivering superior care to rural populations.


REQUIREMENTS:
High school diploma or equivalent. A minimum of six months to one year of relevant experience and/or training; or a suitable combination of education and experience. Proficient in reading and interpreting documents such as safety regulations, policy manuals, etc. Capable of reading and writing in English. Effective communication skills, particularly in group settings, along with excellent customer service abilities. Competent in utilizing various computer systems. Familiarity with telecommunication and personal computing devices.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Clinical Leadership:
Provide guidance and support to clinical personnel, including physicians, nurse practitioners, and medical assistants.
Ensure compliance with clinical protocols, guidelines, and best practices to uphold high patient care standards.
Oversee patient flow and clinic operations to enhance efficiency and patient satisfaction.

Administrative Oversight:
Manage administrative tasks such as scheduling, billing, and medical records.

Implement and uphold policies and procedures to ensure adherence to healthcare regulations (e.g., HIPAA, Medicare guidelines). Collaborate with the billing department to optimize reimbursement and ensure accurate coding and billing practices.


Staff Development:
Recruit, train, and mentor both clinical and administrative staff.
Conduct regular performance assessments and provide constructive feedback to foster professional growth.
Create a positive work environment that promotes teamwork, open communication, and ongoing learning.

Quality Assurance and Patient Safety:
Lead initiatives aimed at improving clinical outcomes and ensuring patient safety.
Analyze clinical data to identify improvement opportunities and implement necessary corrective measures.
Ensure compliance with infection control protocols and other patient safety standards.

Community Outreach:
Act as a liaison between the clinic and the community, advocating for healthcare services and addressing public health needs.
Establish and maintain relationships with local stakeholders, including patients, community organizations, and healthcare partners.

Additional Qualifications:

Medical Assistant with a minimum of one year of experience in a leadership role or a Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration, Nursing, Business Administration, or a related field.

Strong knowledge of healthcare regulations, reimbursement systems, and quality improvement methodologies.
Exceptional interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.
Demonstrated ability to lead and inspire a diverse team in a fast-paced healthcare setting.
Proficient in electronic health records (EHR) systems and healthcare management software.
