Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Credentialing Specialist to join our team at Temple University Hospital. As a key member of our healthcare operations team, you will be responsible for preparing and submitting credentialing applications and supporting documentation for medical staff and advanced practice providers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and submit credentialing applications and supporting documentation for medical staff and advanced practice providers.
  • Ensure integrity of provider database and maintain accurate and up-to-date information.
  • Work collaboratively with practitioners, their employer, and office staff to facilitate the credentialing process.
  • Support the FPPE/OPPE functions, including assurance of timely evaluation and collection of data.
  • Manage assigned duties/functions independently, maintaining a high quality of detail and timeliness.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent (Required)
  • Associates Degree (Preferred)
  • 2 Years experience in physician credentialing in a healthcare environment (Required)
  • General experience and knowledge of physician credentialing software (Required)
  • General experience and knowledge of Joint Commission standards, PA Department of Health regulations, and PA State Board of Medicine licensure requirements (Required)
  • General experience in a hospital setting (Preferred)
  • CPCS - Cert Provider Cred Splst (Preferred) or CPMSM - Cert Pro Med Serv Mgmt (Preferred)
