Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Mechanic to join our team at Maine Medical Center. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining all machinery and mechanical equipment in accordance with manufacturer's specifications.

Key Responsibilities
  • Diagnose and repair machinery and mechanical equipment using hand and power tools, precision measuring and testing instruments, and technical manuals.
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as cleaning, lubricating, and inspecting equipment to ensure optimal performance.
  • Repair and replace defective parts, and test equipment to ensure it is in good working order.
  • Work with piping systems, including surgical gas lines, water lines, sewage and drain lines, heating systems, and HVAC.
Requirements
  • High school education or equivalent preferred.
  • Two-year trade school in machine maintenance or equivalent training and experience.
  • State of Maine HP Boiler Operators License required within 12 months of hire.
  • 6040 Medical Gas Certification preferred within first 24 months of hire date.
  • Approximately one to two years progressively more responsible work-related experience necessary to gain knowledge of equipment repair and be able to troubleshoot and diagnose a wide variety of machinery and mechanical problems.
