Egg Gathering and Ranch Maintenance

Foster Farms is seeking a skilled Egg Gatherer - Amber Breeder Ranch to join our team. As an Egg Gatherer, you will be responsible for gathering eggs from our ranch, maintaining the cleanliness of the workrooms, and performing various tasks to ensure the smooth operation of our farm.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Gather eggs from the ranch, including sorting and stacking them for transportation.
  • Clean and maintain the workrooms, including emptying trash and changing dip pans.
  • Walk the floors and slats to find eggs and dead birds, and gather them onto flats.
  • Help maintain and clean the ranch grounds, including cleaning waters and ceiling lights.
  • Transfer eggs to other farms as needed.
  • Clean up the ranch between flocks, including routine heavy lifting and operating a high-pressure washer.
Qualifications:
  • Must be able to lift and carry 50 pounds.
  • Ability to walk 1.5 – 5 miles per day.
  • Able to step into and out of the gathering pit numerous times each day (steep stairs).
  • Able to bend over and pick up eggs from the floor.
  • Must be able to climb a 12-foot ladder.
  • Must have reliable transportation.
