    • Develop and maintain relationships with federal, state, and local government officials and stakeholders.
    • Advocate for Lincoln Park Zoological Society's interests and positions on key legislation and policy issues.
  • Strategic Planning
    • Conduct research and analysis to identify opportunities and challenges for Lincoln Park Zoological Society's government relations efforts.
    • Develop and implement strategic plans to achieve our goals and objectives.
  • Community Engagement
    • Build and maintain relationships with local, regional, and national community, business, social, and civic organizations.
    • Identify and pursue opportunities for partnerships and collaborations that advance our mission and goals.
  • Communication
    • Develop and implement effective communication strategies to engage stakeholders and promote Lincoln Park Zoological Society's mission and goals.
    • Prepare and deliver presentations, reports, and other materials to support our government relations efforts.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Public Affairs, Political Science, or related field.
  • Considerable experience in government relations, public policy, or a related field.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks and deadlines.
