Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Occupational Therapist to join our team at Brigham and Women's Hospital (BWH). As a Senior OT, you will play a key role in providing high-quality patient care and leading our hand therapy team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Examine and evaluate patient's occupational therapy needs, formulating an occupational therapy diagnosis and developing a treatment plan with treatment goals directed towards maximizing function.
  • Demonstrate competency in all clinical knowledge and skills specific to the patient case type(s) in assigned area of care.
  • Act as a clinical or non-clinical resource, consulting with other members of the health care team to ensure coordination and effectiveness of therapies provided.
  • Participate in implementation of quality assurance program for clinical service, assisting in proper care and distribution of department supplies and equipment.
  • Assume duties and responsibilities as assigned by the Director, participating in departmental meetings to formulate policies, procedures, and program development.
Requirements
  • Must be a graduate of an accredited occupational therapy program.
  • Must possess a current unrestricted license to practice occupational therapy from the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.
  • Must have a minimum of four (4) years of clinical experience, with the ability to work independently in an active clinic, triage walk-in consults, and closely collaborate with colleagues and department leadership.
Working Conditions

Works in hospital environments where there is some exposure to blood/body fluids/hazardous materials, communicable diseases, and unpleasant odors.
