About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Field Service Engineer to join our team at Mettler-Toledo AutoChem Inc. As a key member of our service operations, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our customers' instrumentation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct on-site installations, repairs, and maintenance of assigned AutoChem instrumentation, including infrared reaction profiling equipment, laser crystallization monitoring equipment, and automated lab reactor systems.
  • Provide expert field service support and training to customers on assigned equipment throughout its lifecycle.
  • Communicate and document customer issues with internal departments, including Sales, TAC, Product Management, Service, and Quality.
  • Prioritize and schedule open service issues to resolution, ensuring timely and effective resolution.
  • Document and report scheduling, utilization, expense, and escalation as required.
Requirements
  • Education in a chemistry, mechanical, or electrical field.
  • Minimum 1-3 years of experience, including internships or educational lab experience.
  • Ability to travel around 80%, with around 60% local travel and 20% overnight.
  • Territory includes New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Delaware, Maryland, and Virginia.
  • Software and hardware literacy and proficiency of Windows-based and embedded operating systems.
  • Knowledge of SAP is a plus.
